Will the BBC sponsor or donate to my charity event?

Unfortunately, we have to turn down any request for sponsorship or donations. As the BBC is a public corporation, financed by the licence fee, its income must be used for broadcasting or closely associated purposes.

If we were to oblige any one of the huge numbers of sponsorship and donation requests we receive each week, it would set a precedent which we would not be able to maintain.
