David Grant - Vocal Coach
David’s big break came in the Eighties when he formed jazz/funk duo Linx with bass player Sketch. They had four smash hits, two best-selling albums and were nominated for a Brit Award in 1982.
David went on to release a successful solo album and had four UK hits. He returned to the charts again in 1985 with two duets with Jaki Graham.
In the late Eighties, David wrote songs for other artists and had top 10 hits in America and worldwide.
David formed a band with his wife Carrie under the name Suga Shak and the duo had a top-five club record before embarking on their highly acclaimed gospel/R&B album, which won a prestigious MOBO Award in 1998.
Together Carrie and David have vocal-coached and produced Take That, The Spice Girls, S Club 7, Atomic Kitten, Embrace, Will Young, Charlotte Church and Lemar among many others.
