STAND BY YOUR MAN

11 March 2007

You voted in your thousands to save your favourite celebrity students, which is great news as you've raised money for Comic Relief, but bad news for Rowland because he's been expelled!

Earlier tonight our students sang live in the Circle of Fear for a place on Wednesday's show and ultimately for the chance to experience an intensive ten days of early starts, choreography classes and vocal coaching in the Academy itself.

The ten celebrity students with the most votes were guaranteed the chance to sing again on Wednesday while the remaining three were forced to perform once more and fight it out for the final two places. Unfortunately for them, it was Miranda, Rowland and Angellica who found themselves in that bottom three.

After singing their hearts out again to impress, it was time for the moment of truth. Angellica was saved by the judges, which left Miranda and Rowland to face the dreaded student vote.

Gaining ten out of a possible eleven votes from the students, a very happy Miranda won the chance to take part in the next show, meaning poor Rowland had to be expelled right there and then.

So, now we have just twelve students, make sure you catch the next helping of Comic Relief Does Fame Academy. The celebrity students will be back and once again singing live for their survival.      Wednesday, BBC One at 7pm.
