SWEET HARMONY?
16 March 2007

After establishing themselves as a duet last night, Shaun and Tricia have been paired up again to perform another number. But they've got their work cut out.
The judges and teachers all agree that Shaun and Tricia have the best voices, but after 10 days of slogging it out in the Academy their vocal cords are tired. And tonight they will be performing a very difficult track.
Islands In The Stream was a hit for Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, and later sampled for the Pras track Ghetto Supastar, but this morning Shaun and Tricia were struggling to get to grips with the difficult harmonies.
A stressed-out Shaun sat with his head in his hands: "Nope, I can't pick it up," he told David in training.
Tricia was also struggling: "I dunno who's singing what now!" she sighed.
David helped the pair with all of the difficult harmonies and complex key changes, but still Shaun wasn't feeling confident.
With his arms folded, Shaun shook his head: "It makes me feel sick when I have to harmonise. When I have to go off the melody it makes me feel physically ill."
"It is scary when you're doing hard notes like that," Tricia agreed, "It freaks me out."
"You are going to get it," David assured them. "So don't be that worried. You've just got to stay in time with Tricia," he told Shaun.
After a few more attempts, Tricia stressed again: "It's not easy."
"I'm just so bad at it," Shaun said shaking his head again.
"I know this will take work, but it will sound fantastic!" David encouraged.
C'mon guys, you can do it!
