WE LOVE LEMAR

15 March 2007

Since appearing on Fame Academy back in 2002, Lemar has taken the charts by storm, won awards and played sell out tours. But he hasn't forgotten his roots, and now he's back in the Academy to perform with our celebrity students.

Colin, Tricia and Shaun were led to believe that on tonight's live show, they would be performing Lemar's hit single It's Not That Easy, with Vocal Coach David. But David had a little surprise up his sleeve.

"We're gonna learn this song, but the last couple of days I've had a really bad cold and there are parts of this that I'm really going to struggle with," David lied.

"Don't say you're just leaving it to us to do it," Tricia fretted.

"I need to rest my voice, so for this practice I'm going to get someone from production to come in and just read my lines," David continued his fib.

Falling for David's line, Colin sympathised: "But it's so disappointing if your voice isn't good."

"I'll be very disappointed," David said, "but I've found someone from production..."

On cue, Lemar strolled in to the room. "Yaay!" the students clapped and cheered. "Great to see you! Fantastic!" An ecstatic Shaun shook Lemar's hand.

"So, you're not singing it?" Colin asked David.

"No, but you are," David grinned. "With Lemar!"

"We're gonna wreck your song now!" Tricia laughed.

"You're not gonna wreck it!" Lemar assured her with a smile before singing the opening lines of It's Not That Easy. And he sounded amazing.

Make sure you watch the show tonight to see Lemar perform with some of our celebrity students. It's going to be special!
