I'M LOVIN' IT

15 March 2007

Despite having the strongest female voice in the Academy, Tricia has been the most self-critical student so far, but this morning she announced she's had a breakthrough.

We never hear nerves in Tricia's voice, but when the students watch back their performances Tricia has moaned about hating her voice, hair, face, outfit... Finally last night she liked what she saw – yaay!

"Last night I was so proud of your performance," Carrie told Tricia in training this morning. "It was brilliant! But you were still in the bottom three, what's that about?"

"I dunno... honestly, and the judges liked me last night!" Tricia said. "When they [the judges] seem to like me, the public don't... but hey, I gave it my best shot and I'm still here!" she beamed.

Tricia didn't even mind watching herself on screen. "I just saw myself enjoying it. I was really into the song... that's the difference, enjoying it rather than having that fear."

Throwing her hands up, Tricia announced. "I've had a breakthrough! Even though I was in the bottom three, I'm not down today!"

"Fantastic!" Carrie cheered.

"I'm a lot more confident, people think I'm a confident person but I'm not... but last night I felt good in myself."

Carrie pointed out that Tricia could win this, but what would it mean to the newly confident Tricia?

"It would be great, fantastic, lovely... what an achievement to be in the bottom three?"

"The top three!" Carrie quickly corrected her.

"Sorry, that's how tired I am!" Tricia laughed. "The top three!"
