Ray, Tricia, Fred, Tara and Angellica shot through on your votes. Which left Mel, Colin and Shaun to form the final three.
It was first time in the trio for Shaun and Colin, and judges Craig and Lesley both saved Shaun. That left Mel (Richard's vote) and Colin to face the nerve-racking student vote.
"I've got a great bustier I'm planning to wear and it's made of PVC," teased Mel. But would it be enough to save her?
With an arm draped over Colin's shoulder, Mel prepared for her students' verdict. It wasn't pretty. With Fred, Shaun, Angellica and Ray all voting for Colin, Mel collected her marching orders.
But you can't keep a good woman down. "I may be out, but I'll be breaking back into the Academy," she threatened.
And when Claudia asked her for her favourite bit, Mel didn't even hesitate. "The kaftan," she nodded. Good choice.
So our eight has been cut down to a magnificent seven. But the pressure's still on. It's up to you who survives in week two.
