TEAM SPIRIT
13 March 2007
The lads formed the Academy's very own rat pack - tuxes, undone bowties and shiny shoes - they certainly looked the part. But did they sound it? You bet!
With not much rehearsal time, the boys coasted through Putting On The Ritz with plenty of swagger. It was all over the shop, but they loved every minute.
"Pretty shambolic," said Richard. "But you got away with it." And Craig agreed: "Under-rehearsed, but amazing." Good effort, chaps.
Sparkling on the stairs next were the ladies. Tara, Mel, Angellica and Tricia harmonised their way through It Don't Mean A Thing. Obviously loving it, the girls put in a stellar performance and totally charmed the judges.
"The clear winner. That was solid. Well done," said Richard. Lesley agreed, but Craig wasn't feeling it. "End of pier for me," he grumbled. "If it wasn't for Tricia there'd be no tuning." Oh well, it's only a bit of fun!
But, fun over, let's get down to business... who goes tonight?
