PARTY POLITICS

12 March 2007

The students celebrated Colin's birthday tonight, but even the scotch eggs and sausage rolls weren’t enough to turn the conversation away from Zoe’s eviction. It began to get a bit maudlin, and everyone looked sad as they discussed tonight’s vote. Come on you lot, it’s meant to be a PARTY!

Luckily, Colin broke out the champers and Mel broke out the toasts. “To Zoe,” she said, leading the clinks. “To Rowland, to Linda…” she continued, as the remaining celebs remembered their former colleagues.

Getting into the party spirit, Angellica tucked into the cheese and pineapple on sticks, while Tara carefully arranged two hats on her head. “I would be happy if I had ears and a tail. I would love a big bushy tail,” she announced.

“Scotch eggs are my downfall,” added Mel.

“This is surreal,” said Colin, shaking his head. “It’s been really nice, but it’s been surreal. It’s the longest birthday I’ve had.”

“And we get a roast lunch tomorrow!” added Tara. Do this lot ever think of anything other than food?

“It’s good to spend it with you all,” continued the slightly dazed-looking birthday boy. “And I hope one by one you’ll be voted out!”

“Put your hat on,” shouted Shaun, cracking a party popper.

As Tricia piped a tune on a party blower and Mel affixed some tinsel to her silly hat, the fun began in earnest. Musical chairs, anyone?
