WHO'S WHO AT COMIC RELIEF DOES FAME ACADEMY

It’s a familiar staff line-up at the Academy but if you’re a first-time viewer or have been living on Mars for the last five years, here’s the lowdown on who’ll be whipping our students into shape over the next few weeks.

The Teachers

Presiding over the Academy is notorious head teacher Richard Park. The voice of experience he may be, but sometimes that voice can be a little hard to take(!). Some say he’s brutally honest, others say he’s just plain brutal. Either way, the Fame Academy just wouldn’t be the same without him.

Musical partnership David and Carrie Grant are the Academy’s resident vocal coaches. It’s their job to ensure the students are lyrically and vocally in tip-top condition for their live performances.

Helping students with their physical performance and choreography is fitness coach Kevin Adams. Kevin will run daily exercise classes as well as giving individual staging lessons to each contestant.

The final member of staff is personal tutor Jeremy Milnes, a confidence and assertiveness expert whose role is to address any concerns the students may have about the competition. Each day Jeremy will schedule a number of formal and informal chats with students to mentally prepare them for the live events.

The Judges

Back on Judge duties and fresh from her West End stage role in The Sound of Music, is opera star Lesley Garrett, who’s joined once again by top West End choreographer and Strictly Come Dancing judge, Craig Revel Horwood. Richard Park, as ever, completes the critical judging trio.

And then, of course, there’s you, the viewer. It’s up to you to vote for your favourite singer to save them and secure their place in the final. Make sure you tune in to the programme and keep checking the website for details.
