FIGHTING TALK
08 March 2007

Celebrity students Colin and Mel took the chance to chat to Personal Tutor Jeremy, and revealed that performing on Comic Relief Does Fame Academy is more than just a bit of fun for them.
On last night's show, Colin's performance of Always On My Mind failed to impress Head Teacher Richard Park. He slammed Colin, saying it was "tuneless and pretty desperate," but now Colin is keen to fight back.
"I'm not here for a holiday," Colin told Jeremy. "My first night I felt like it went really well and everyone said nice things. I went in my second night knowing it's harder... I was thinking I'd go a step up, but I fell flat on my face!"
Colin went on to confess: "I'm here 'cos it's a good cause. I love competition and I want to learn to sing better. I wanna stay in for all of it."
In contrast to Colin, Mel received great feedback last night for her performance of September. Richard was absolutely delighted (which is saying something), but despite that Mel still found herself in the bottom three.
"It was difficult being in the bottom three. I was on such a high on Saturday and then you feel like the rug has been swept from beneath you," she told Jeremy.
But Mel isn't going to let being in the bottom three get her down. Tonight she'll be singing Abba's The Winner Takes It All and she's excited. "It's a challenge, it's a song that's got to be sung. I like risk!" she grinned.
But will Mel be the winner who takes it all? Tune into the live show tonight at 7pm on BBC1 to find out.
