Mel Giedroyc - expelled
Mel made her name as part of the comedy duo Mel and Sue, with her good friend Sue Perkins.
Mel and Sue were once shortlisted for the Daily Express Best Newcomers Award at the Edinburgh Festival. They then wrote for French & Saunders before hosting their own show on Channel 4, Light Lunch, which later became Late Lunch.
Throughout her career, Mel has guest-starred in many successful comedy shows including The Vicar of Dibley, Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, French & Saunders, Never Mind the Horrocks and Rhona.
In 2005 she co-starred with fellow Fame Academy student Rowland Rivron in the BBC sitcom Blessed, written by Ben Elton.
In 2005 Mel competed in Channel 4’s The Games. Admittedly, she wasn’t the most natural athlete of the bunch but she gave it 100%!
Mel is the sixth celebrity to have been expelled.
