A BBC Radio 4 team headed to the Isle of Man to record Manx shearwaters and storm petrels being ringed at night as well as to see basking sharks or one of the seven species of cetaceans which regularly patrol these waters.

The Isle of man lies in the middle of the Irish Sea, 134km from Liverpool and 145km from Belfast. The Calf of Man, a small island off the south-west coast, is a bird sanctuary owned by Manx National Heritage.
