Paolo Nutini: Clip Highlights
Bringing the Caustic Love to Balado
Paisley's own Paolo is a singing sensation and global success story.
The Celtic crooner burst into the public eye with his debut album These Streets in early 2006. The record spent an incredible 196 weeks in the album charts, becoming certified platinum five times over in the process, the success of which saw him perform all over the world, including supporting Amy Winehouse, KT Tunstall and The Rolling Stones.
Three years later, in the Summer of 2009, Nutini released his sophomore effort, the wildly successful Sunny Side Up. The album saw him adopt a more mature sound, taking inspiration from American soul and Scottish folk music, and reshaping them in his own style, an approach which garnered many accolades. Sunny Side Up also spawned the jazz-tinged hit single “Pencil Full of Lead”.
His third album, Caustic Love, released in April 2014, has met with widespread critical acclaim and has been called one of the finest old school RnB-tinged albums to come out of the UK in recent years.
This year also marks his 5th appearance in 6 years at T in the Park.
