Kizzy Crawford - Golden Brown
Kizzy Crawford - Caer O Feddyliau
Supported by BBC Introducing in Wales
At the age of tender age of 17, Kizzy Crawford is already a Welsh songstress with bags of talent set to be unleashed on the rest of the UK.
As a Welsh speaker with Bajan heritage, she has both cultures embedded in her soul and subsequently in her music, with the ambition to make the fusion of Welsh folk and funk the biggest new sound in 2014. With sophistication and skills beyond her years in her song-writing and live performances, the addition of her beautiful soaring voice is the perfect complement to create an artist packing a punch of passion and charisma.
Horizons, a scheme set up by BBC Wales to develop new, contemporary music in the country, have selected Kizzy as BBC Horizons artist of the year, helping her to achieve airplay across Radio 1, 6 Music, as well as performances on Children In Need and at Maida Vale later this year. Glastonbury is the start of a summer of live shows and festivals so make sure you don’t miss her spell-binding set on Sunday.
