Kendal, gateway to the beautiful Lake District, is the setting for this BBC Philharmonic concert featuring three orchestral classics. The concert opens with the Third Symphony of Johannes Brahms, loved for its rich and warm melodies. The orchestra is then joined by rising star Elena Urioste, who performs one of the most demanding of all violin concertos, Beethoven’s ever-popular masterpiece. And to end, we hear Rimsky-Korsakov’s dazzling homage to Spain, his Capriccio Espagnol.
