T in the Park - 2012, Snow Patrol

Hogging the Main Stage limelight is a labour of love for Lightbody and co. This year's Friday night headline appearance marks no less than eight T In The Parks.

Having first graced the festival in their earlier incarnation as Polar Bear in 1997, the Main Stage has lately become something of a home turf for the band. They are now firm favourites, bankable headliners with the added frisson of being (almost) local heroes, as they famously started their band in Dundee - not exactly a long hop from T.

Festivals are all about those magic moments of togetherness, and it's guaranteed that Snow Patrol can deliver a fittingly emotional end to Friday night.
