Simple Minds - one of Scotland's most successful bands of all time - have never before played T In The Park. Incredible as that statement is, it's quite true.

And we are all very lucky that they have chosen this year, since it's part of their critically acclaimed 5X5 Live tour, where they are revisiting their first five albums, covering the period 1979-1984.

Loads of current trendy bands sound a bit like early Simple Minds. If you are not one of the legion of Scottish fans looking forward to this homecoming gig, prepare to be amazed at how influential their post-punk sound has been.
