Go see them... doctor’s orders

Leeds alternative rock act Hawk Eyes have played this festival before… albeit under a different name. Before the end of 2011, the band were known as Chickenhawk who not only tore up Reading & Leeds in 2009 but also went round the earth with Alexisonfire, We Are The Ocean and The Computers.

The foursome rock so hard that frontman Paul Astick was advised by a doctor to calm down his vocals for fear of doing permanent damage. They’ve relaxed the chaos a bit but are still blazing a trail with a branch of intense hardcore that has got them legion of DJ fans (say hello Radio 1’s Daniel P Carter) and, of course, normal folk like me and you. They are compared with Foo Fighters, QOTSA, Alice in Chains and Faith No More which speaks volumes.
