Better together

Bringing sunshine to Hyde Park is Jack Johnson.

The Hawaiian-born folk singer had commercial success with his debut album, Brushfire Fairytales. Since 2001 he’s released five more albums, a couple of EPs, and has thrown in a few surfing movies and soundtracks to boot. Hits such as Better Together and You and Your Heart have led to nominations for several awards including two Grammy's.

In 2006 he won International Breakthrough Artist at the Brit Awards and was nominated for Best International Male Solo Artist at the same awards. It is with great pleasure that BBC Radio 2 can say Aloha to Jack Johnson this year.

What’s not apparent from these songs is just how brilliant a man their maker is.
