About this event
BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist Khatia Buniatishvili is already turning heads with her mesmerising stage presence and a unique style of pianism mixing uncanny sensitivity with old-school fireworks.
In this recital she explores the different brands of virtuosity perfected by two composer-pianists. Liszt, one of this year's prominent anniversary figures, shares the bill with a more recent practitioner whose Seventh Sonata contains the most dynamic music ever devised by a composer renowned for his motoric piano style.
