Come and join the BBC SO for our next exciting Family Orchestra and Chorus workshop!
The Family Orchestra and Chorus is an ensemble for all ages, all instruments, and all levels of ability. It's a chance for families to make music together, joining members of the BBC Symphony Orchestra in a fun family-friendly workshop to compose new music from scratch together.
All abilities are welcome. Whether you're a virtuoso violinist, budding trumpet player, or if you're completely new to music, you can come along and sing in the chorus or join the percussion section. You don't need to be able to read music.
This is a chance for the whole family to join together to create some exciting new music alongside a workshop leader and team of fantastic musicians from the BBC Symphony Orchestra!
It's free to take part, and open to anyone over the age of 7. All participants under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied throughout by a parent or guardian aged 18 or above.
This project will culminate in a performance on the Barbican FreeStage on Friday 9 May, at 7.15pm. This is before a BBC Symphony Orchestra concert in the Barbican Hall.
Booking for this project will open in March 2014.
