Hyde Park is set for a visit by the unmistakable voice of Mick Hucknall. The former Simply Red frontman has marshalled a flourishing solo return in recent years, first reappearing with 2008's celebration of blues legend Bobby Bland on Tribute To Bobby, ahead of this autumn's American Soul collection.

In between solo projects the Lancashire born singer has been providing vocals for the re-formed version of Faces and developing a successful wine business from vineyards on the slopes of Mount Etna.

Radio 2 in Hyde Park will be one of first chances to hear American Soul live ahead of a UK tour next year.
