The Lord and the Ladies
This week, all four of the acts in Your Country Needs You got a chance to showcase their songs in a mentoring session with Andrew Lloyd Webber in preparation for the semi-final on Saturday.
The Twins, Francine & Nicola, gave a heartfelt performance of The Everly Brothers' "All I Have To Do Is Dream" for Andrew. He was pleased with the song choice, telling them that it would come across well to the audience at home.
The Twins got a little emotional as they prepared to sing their second song, "About You Now" by the Sugababes. When Andrew asked them what was wrong, Fran said she was embarrassed about crying in front of him earlier. After a bit of a pep talk from Andrew, the girls happily carried on, delivering a rocking version of the Sugababes' tune.
In their interview, The Twins talked about how far they have come - and the possibility that it might all end on Saturday really concerns them. They want to give it their all this week and hope the audience will get behind them and keep them in!
Jade was next up and sang "All By Myself" by Celine Dion. Andrew was very pleased with her performance and thought she controlled the song throughout and has really improved her breathing.
She then sang the more up-tempo tune, Aretha Franklin's "Think". Once more, Andrew was full of praise for Jade, saying that she was born to perform. He added that on the night she should really go for it with a big costume and hairstyle to show off her dance moves!
Jade revealed in her interview that she is really happy to have a 'second chance' at a ballad, having been disappointed in her performance last week. She's focusing on not showing her nerves and knocking everyone's socks off come the night of the live show...
You'll get your chance to see how the girls perform these four songs on Eurovision: Your Country Needs You. Don't miss it!
