Life after Charlotte...
The four remaining acts in Eurovision: Your Country Needs You have been giving their reactions to the second live show and the departure of Charlotte.
Emperors of Soul were a little disappointed with Andrew's comments on Saturday, when he referred to them as a 'dinner theatre act'. However, they are in good spirits and are determined to bounce back stronger this week, to prove to Andrew and the people at home that they are more than just a cabaret band.
They have had excellent support from their families along the way, and that support is going to be needed this week as Fraser looks to stretch them this week with two songs to learn before Saturday.
Mark was happy with his performance of 'Me and Mrs Jones' last Saturday and clearly enjoyed having a song that he could draw on his acting experience and tell a story with.
The Welsh-born singer rates Your Country Needs You as the best thing that has ever happened to him! He is excited at the prospect of having a realistic chance of winning the show as the final looms closer, and is pleased with his two song choices for the next live show.
Like Mark, The Twins were extremely pleased with their performance on Saturday, despite being nervous about being the opening act. They revealed they were 'so chuffed' with getting through the performance without making any mistakes.
They want to prove to Andrew that they are the act for the Eurovision finals in May and think their performance on Saturday night went some way to achieving that. It annoys them that some people only see them as a gimmick and are working hard to show everyone they are deadly serious about winning this competition; 'We deserve this.'
Jade revealed in her interview how nervous she was performing live this week as she felt a lot more exposed on stage with no backing dancers - her hands were even shaking!
She was pleasantly surprised by Lulu's and Duncan's comments as she felt that she had hit a couple of bum notes, but said that she's always too critical of her own performance as she strives for perfection. She says that if she fails in this bid for Eurovision victory it will be like her life is over, saying, 'There is nothing else for me!'
Saturday 24th January sees our four remaining acts go head to head in the semi-final of Your Country Needs You. The pressure will be on as all of our singers will have to perform two songs each. Who will be the act to fall at the final hurdle before the final?
