They believe that their musical ability comes from their Grandad Eric who played piano and sung on the pub/club circuit with his brother.
The Twins made it through to the final of Your Country Needs You, eventually finishing second behind Jade.
They were signed to an agent when they were thirteen and appeared as extras in a few TV shows such as "Home is where the Heart is" and "Playing the field"
They also made it to X Factor Boot Camp 2008.

Francine is the eldest twin by 35mins.
They both study English at Sheffield Hallam
The main way to tell them apart is that Francine has a fringe.
In school, they created their own group with three boys called Major Franix, but also did gigs without the group and were simply known as Franix.
