Damien is a singer and musician from London. He describes his status as "happily" single and as a doting father to his only daughter, Scarlett, who is 3 in January.
Damien got his first professional job aged twelve, as one of the Von Trapp children in The Sound of Music at the Connaught Theatre, Worthing. He stayed with the same theatre and appeared in Oliver! and The King and I. After A Levels, Damien went to Middlesex University to study Performing Arts.
He's currently a resident singer at Ruby Blues in Leicester Square and Players in Charing Cross, London.
This year he has also been a backing vocalist for Tom Jones appearing on Later... With Jools Holland, Strictly Come Dancing and ITV1's Here Come The Boys.
In his own words: "I'm very excited about Andrew Lloyd Webber's involvement in the show." Damien also thinks that "the competition will be more more credible now that Andrew Lloyd Webber is writing the song."
Damien is half Irish and one of three children.
Damien's mother was a tennis coach, and his father was a professional footballer, playing for Brighton and Hove Albion. He had also previously played for Coventry (under Jimmy Hill) and Ireland U21s. Damien is also a keen footballer, and still plays at Centre Forward for a Sunday League team based in High Wycombe.
Damien used to live with Celebrity Hair Stylist, Nicky Clarke.
