Biography

Hotel FM have been around for five years, and currently the line-up consists of David Bryan (lead singer), Gabriel Baruta (composer, piano and backing vocals) and Alex Szuz (drums).

Hotel FM

David Bryan was born on December 11th 1984 in Newton Aycliffe, United Kingdom. He was always keen on dancing and singing and as a teenager he discovered his talent for acting. He studied Drama for a year at the British Academy for Performing Arts, but was forced to drop out of college because of his financial problems. He temporarily worked as a welder and binman but didn't give up his dreams: to travel the world and become a successful performer.

David came to Romania with a charity mission, in 2006. While he was working as a volunteer to rebuild an orphanage in Oradea, he fell in love with a local girl and decided to stay in Romania. His remarkable voice was discovered at a karaoke evening, and David was soon introduced to Gabriel Baruta, who realised he had found the perfect front man for his band Hotel FM.

The band finished fourth in 2010's national selection to represent Romania in the Eurovision Song Contest, but they had more success in 2011 when their song "Change" won the competition, sending the boys to Düsseldorf.
