Talk about Jade.
Talk about Mark.
Talk about The Twins.
So, the result is in, but what happened in the show?
Jade kicked off with a sultry performance of Lady Marmalade, complete with slinky catsuit. "In the US they'd say you were a slam dunk", said the Lord. Lulu agreed. "You tick all the boxes - you can sing, you look great and you can move." Duncan was particularly impressed by the catsuit and felt that Jade had "real star quality, and that can't be taught."
Next up, Mark gave a soulful performance of Try a Little Tenderness, rocking it to the audience in a tight jean and t shirt combo that some of the ladies in the front row certainly appreciated. "I thought it was wonderful", said Andrew, but added "it was a little bit studied." Duncan liked that Mark had got "a little bit down and dirty."
The Twins sang Sweet About Me, a choice that Andrew approved of. "You're sweet and adorable" he told them. "You're like ABBA, but I don't know which half. Are you the As or the Bs?" He did feel that they could have put a bit more harmony in their performance. Lulu had a confession to make. "At the start, I had my doubts" she said. "But you, more than any of the other acts have stepped up your game."
Then the official UK Eurovision entry was revealed. Each of the acts sang Andrew's song It's My Time, knowing that they might be performing it for Britain in Moscow. Who did the judges feel had done it most justice?
"Each one gives a different performance." said Lulu. "But this song translates no matter the language - it's the song."
Andrew was almost lost for words, but in a good way. "They were terrific performances. But whoever wins, you have my one hundred and one percent commitment behind you." And Duncan stressed how important it was for the public to choose, and choose well.
Then each act reprised a song, picked by Andrew, that they'd performed earlier in the series. The Twins took to the floor with Girls Aloud's Promise, chosen by Andrew as it showed off how "adorable" they were.
Jade followed with Beyoncé's Déjà Vu. "Jade's a complete all-rounder and total professional, so I wanted her to perform this again." explained Andrew. Then it was Mark with Me and Mrs Jones, chosen by the Lord because "it's where [Mark] started to come out of his comfort zone." "Mark, wonderful, completely safe," said Andrew, but "have you yet got that charisma?" To The Twins he said again "you are adorable", and told Jade "There is so much that you've got to give. It's so related to you."
Then the public's decision was revealed. In third place was Mark. Second were The Twins. So Jade had been chosen by the public to go to Moscow and represent Britain.
