2009: Norway wins - but UK Pride is restored!
Alexander Rybak from Norway has fiddled his way to Eurovision victory with his song "Fairytale".
Very early on in the voting it was clear that tonight was going to be Norway's. The results from around Europe are in and Alexander Rybak's Fairytale is Eurovision's biggest ever winner with 387 points.
However, the UK has had one of its most successful nights in almost a decade - after years of coming towards the very bottom of the leader board, Jade Ewen restored the UK's Eurovision Pride by coming in a very credable 5th place, with 173 points.
So next year, the huge Eurovision bandwagon will relocate to Norway - only 364 days to go until the next final!
Here's the top ten results for the Eurovision Song Contest 2009:
1. Norway (387 points)
2. Iceland (218 points)
3. Azerbaijan (207 points)
4. Turkey (177 points)
5. United Kingdom (173 points)
6. Estonia (129 points)
