Biography
The Duo
Inga and Anush have known each other since they were children. They have performed together professionally since 2000, sometimes known as "The Arshakyan Sisters" - even through they aren't actually related. They also acted together in the State Song Theatre of Armenia. From 2003, they started to perform independently, in concerts at home in Armenia as well as abroad. They gave performances on tours to the USA, Tehran, London, Paris, Russia and Germany. Their live solo concert was held in November 2005 in the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Inga and Anush
Anush
Anush graduated from the piano department of the S. Aslamazyan music school. Between 1997 and 2001, she studied in the piano department of Arno Babajanyan Music College in Yerevan.
From 2001 to 2005 she studied in jazz-vocal department of the Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan. In 1994 participated in the "Zvonkie golosa" contest in Omsk and took the first prize. At the same contest she took the Audience Choice Award. On May 6, 1999 for the first time she performed as a soloist accompanied by the State Philharmonic orchestra and chorus of Armenia.
Inga
Inga graduated from the S. Aslamazyan music school. From 1998 to 2002, she studied in the violin department of Arno Babajanyan Music College in Yerevan. Along with the studies, Inga worked at the G. Atchemyan violinist ensemble.
From 2002 to 2005, she studied in jazz-vocal department of the Komitas State Consevatory in Yerevan.
