Biography

Hadise was born in Belgium in 1985, the daughter of Turkish couple. She took her first steps into the spotlight when she entered the Belgian version of Pop Idol in 2003. Her first single "Sweat" was a chart success and six months later her second single "Stir Me Up" took her back to her roots and earned recognition for Hadise in Turkey.

Her first studio album "Sweat" was completed in 2005, and included four hit singles. Her next single "A Good Kiss" brought victory for Hadise at the most important music awards in Belgium - the "TMF Awards". Hadise won the "Best Urban National" award in both 2006 and 2007.

A second studio album "Hadise" was released in June 2008, and included the singles "A Good Kiss" and "My Body" along with "Deli Oglan" and "Askkolik" which went on to be huge hits in Turkey. Although her career has so far been quite short, it has been very successful, and Hadise is proud to represent Turkey in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow, with her song "Düm Tek Tek".
