Archive: Watch clips from UK songs through the years
In 2011 reformed boy band
Blue represented the UK in Dusseldorf.
Performing their song "I Can" it was unfortunately a case of 'I can't' for Blue, who whilst missing the top spot reached an impressive 11th place in the Grand Final.
In 2010, the UK sent
Josh Dubovie to represent the country in Oslo.
Sadly the song, co-written by Pete Waterman, didn't sound good to the voters in Europe and the UK finished last out of 25 acts in the Grand Final.
Future Sugababe
Jade Ewen made a name for herself by representing the UK at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest.
She finished a very respectable 5th with the song "It's My Time", co-written by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Former X-Factor contestant
Andy Abraham represented the UK in Belgrade.
Unfortunately the UK was drawn in the 'death slot' of 2nd in the running order, and Andy finished in equal last place.
Sadly, no video recording of this contest is known to exist.
Patricia Bredin was the UK's first Eurovision act, finishing 7th.
The first contest - but the UK didn't take part.
