Find out what's happening in Eurovision 2010
Blame Captain Jack Sparrow. Here's a song written by Swedes, sung by Latvians dressed as pirates. It could only be Eurovision. Pirates of the Sea are a motley crew consisting of singer Roberto Meloni, dancer Aleksandra Kurusova and TV personality Janis Vaiöla. Roberto is a Eurovision pro, having represented Latvia last year as part of the group Bonaparti.lv. Who weren't pirates..
This is Latvia's ninth time at Eurovision, having first entered in 2000. They had a good early run, coming 3rd in their first year and winning the contest in 2002. But their results the last two years have been distinctly average - they've come 16th both times. But everyone loves a pirate. Don't they?
