Alan Thompson is best known today for his evening news bulletins on BBC Radio for the Eastern Counties, based in the BBC LookEast Newsroom.

In the past Alan has had a varied career in broadcasting working for both television and newspapers, but his first love has always been radio.

With stints at BBC stations across the county, a whole host of commercial stations under his belt and a time at BBC Radio 2 Alan has done most things from news reporting to news editor and from programme presenter to programme organiser.
