Hylands Park goes 'Supersonic'

The headline acts for this summer's V Festival in Hylands Park, Chelmsford have been announced. Now in it's 14th year, this year's festival promises an "eclectic line-up".

The Killers and Oasis are both making a welcome return to Hylands Park this summer as headliners of the 2009 V Festival.

A number of acts returning to Chelmsford include Razorlight, Snow Patrol, Keane and The Ting Tings.

BBC Essex Introducing presenter Mike Bromfield says:  "I think the line-up is quite well put together, it's a little predictable."

However, Mike is a little disappointed and he was hoping to see some of the bigger names, including Muse.

"I'm glad Elbow are on there considering their recent success at the Brit Awards," says Mike.

"The best bands on the line-up this year?  Definitely The Killers who I saw at Reading last year and they were amazing, The Script, one of my favourite bands at the moment MGMT, The Enemy and Biffy Clyro," adds Mike.
