The band were the boy's top act of 2008
BBC Essex Introducing... Angry Vs the Bear
They have to be one of the best Essex bands at the moment. For those of you who have been privileged enough to see them live could say they are better than Ladyhawke having a fight with The Tings Tings in 1985.
Angry Vs. The Bear
They were our number one of 2008 and rightly so. Their two studio songs, 'I Sing' and 'What Would You Do', have been recorded with top record producer Simon Gogerly, of U2's award-winning 'How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb' album.
Angry Vs the Bear have received eight weeks of consecutive airplay on BBC Essex Introducing..!
Every time we play the band, Ollie makes a declaration of his love to their lead Mitzi live on air. Well, we shocked him with a surprise phone-call from Mitzi during the show which left him speechless.
Being the first band to play a live in session in 2009, they have a whole new standard to set. Will they raise the bar for the rest of the year?
News just in!!
BBC Essex Introducing... is going to be videoing this week's session from Angry vs. the Bear, which will be available in the coming week, on our YouTube channel.

Last year on the show we supported the first Panic Awards, the Chelmsford version of the Oscars, purely for new music. Captain Kidd (now Cathouse) were voted the best band in the county town of 2008 and we chose Soprano (now Amoriste) as the best new band of the year.
