So, Andy decided he'd set up his own business called Ruggerbugs. Ruggerbugs is a very simple idea and like all successful businesses this one seems to be going from strength to strength. The company combines Andy Peasey's passion for rugby coaching and his desire to be his own boss. Andy says: "Each age group is split into their own peer group. So, you'll have the 18 months to four year-olds. The three to fours and the fours to fives and they all work with their friends. Each class has a maximum of around 20 children." Although it's not quite a full time occupation for Andy at the moment he's hoping to make it so in 2009. "I've always had a passion for rugby and I started coaching when I was 19 at Woodford Rugby Club training the under 11s. Many years ago I did Camp America and progressed through the sport coaching the Eastern Counties." His wife Tara also works for Ruggerbugs and says: "It was going to be a hobby on a Sunday and we set it up with a view to running it for six weeks. We got to Christmas last year and realised that it could be a commercial business." "I've taken on the role of running the business to free up Andy to do the coaching." "I was concerned because of the economic climate so we're being very cautious about how we're setting up the business." Both Andy and Tara say it's not easy starting up your own business but it can be very rewarding. As for Ruggerbugs they'll be looking to move forward in the future, without making any forward passes.
