The average car sharer saves around £800 a year in fuel costs. Chelmsford Borough Council is the latest employer in Essex to encourage staff to car share. ![]() Car Sharing Converts, Sue and Dominique Dominque Jarvis and Sue Thake began sharing their journey to work a few weeks ago, they both say they've saved money and it's made the travelling time more enjoyable. Sue used to get to work by bus and was moaning about the cost when Dominque offered to pick her up on her way to work.
They haven't looked back and now have a successful car sharing partnership.
