Funeral for Chris Bard

Following the sad death of BBC Essex Religious Presenter Chris Bard, his funeral arrangements have now been announced.

Following the sudden death of BBC Essex's Faith and Ethics Producer, Chris Bard, his family have released the following statement detailing the arrangements of his funeral.

"Mary, Ellen and Sarah have been deeply touched by the many messages of condolence and support that have been received by BBC Essex after Chris’s sad and sudden death of a heart attack on Sunday 2nd September. 

"We are so glad that Chris was able to touch so many people’s lives, and especially that his ability to make us all laugh was so frequently mentioned.

"We wanted to let you know that his funeral service will take place at Chelmsford Cathedral at 2.00pm on Tuesday, 18, September.  

"The service will be open to the public, and you would all be very welcome if you would like to attend."

At Chris's express wish his family are asking that there should be no flowers, but donations can be made if you wish via the Funeral Directors (Daniel Robinson, 146 High Street, Epping, Essex CM16 4AG), or directly at the funeral service. 

If you do wish to make a donation cheques can be made out to either: Association of Interchurch Families, All Saints, Epping Upland PCC, Theydon Garnon PCC.
