Angela's BIG questions:

What was your first radio memory?

Listen with Mother......

"The time is quarter to two. This is the BBC Home Service for mothers and children at home. Are you ready for the music? When it stops, Catherine Edwards will be here to speak to you.  Ding-de-dong, Ding-de-dong!  Are you sitting comfortably?....Then I'll begin!...."

This was a programme of stories, songs and nursery rhymes for children under five.

How did you first get into radio?

I wrote to BBC Essex when they first opened, then in 1989 I was asked to work on a casual basis on the Dave Monk programme, helping with production.

From there I worked on the Sunday night 'Problem Line' programme, then became the Gram Librarian for the station.

I have worked on the BBC Essex Helpline since it began in 1993 and have been Producer/ Presenter on it for the last eight years.

What is your favourite song ever?

Oh my goodness, there are so many..........

I love music of all kinds, from pop to classical and folk to Hip Hop. But if I really have to pick one, it would be Ella Fitzergald singing "Every Time we say Goodbye!"

What one thing makes Essex so special?

I was born in Suffolk, but have spent 45 years of my life in Essex. I love it, there are beautiful places to walk, including the wonderful Goldhanger Sea Wall, but Essex is special for me as I met my husband, Ken, in Essex and my son, Chris, was born here.
