Youth ActionYou are in: Essex > Young People > Youth Action > Young entrepreneurs  Simon Swords, Dean North and Hong Harper Young entrepreneursIt wasn't so long ago that if you wanted to get to the top of the tree in business, you had to start at the bottom of the ladder. But no more, the internet has meant that school and university leavers can strike it rich very quickly. It seems that armed with just an idea and a broadband connection, young people can find themselves running their own successful company - rather than making the tea. Two such entrepreneurs here in Essex are 24-year old Simon Swords, the director of Atlas Computer Systems (a software development company) and 26-year old James Hunter, the director of Interacss (an IT support and consultancy business). How do customers and suppliers react to a 20-something company director? Is the burden of employees too much responsibility for them and is a degree really worth the time and money nowadays?
