There are plans to build an 18 storey tower block on the site of the old garrison in Shoebury.  It will be visible for miles around.  However, some people in Shoebury don't like the idea, and Andy Gordon has been there to find out more.

A child living in the Gateway tells us what she likes about where she lives and how she wants things to change in the coming years.  Caitlyn West is seven-years-old and lives in Billericay.  Her town is not officially in the Thames Gateway, but she thinks that development might spread to her area.
