Chelmsford gets a new bus station

Chelmsford's new bus station has opened in Duke Street despite months of delays. Residents of the county town can now make use of the new facilities completed in time for the cold weather.

The ribbon has finally been cut at Chelmsford's new bus station.  It's a multi-million pound facility with retail and residential property attached.

Work started on the new station back in 2005 and the opening was delayed for a few months.

There was also concerns that once completed there wouldn't be enough room for the buses to turn around in busy times.
