Johnnie Jackson signs for U's

Colchester United have completed their second new signing of the summer by completing a deal with Spurs midfielder Johnnie Jackson.

Twenty-three year old Jackson has signed a two-year deal to join the Championship side on a free transfer from Tottenham Hotspur.

The midfielder is not a stranger to Layer Road, having played eight games for the club in a loan spell during the 2002-2003 season.

He comes to the side with plenty of Championship experience, and last season played in the league when he was on-loan to Derby County.
