After some disappointing returns from their Polish rider Lucasz Romanek Arena Essex have decided to rest him and give an opportunity to another Pole, Mariusz Puszakowski. The new signing rode in six matches for Ipswich at the end of last season and scored five plus three bonus points at Purfleet. He will make his debut for the Hammers on Friday 28th April when they are at home to Reading. Hammers are at Belle Vue, Manchester on Monday 24th April where their number eight Shaun Tacey will ride. Andreas Jonsson and Paul Hurry are expected to be fit and are included in the line up for the Elite League match. The first Grand Prix of the season will take place at Krsko, Slovenia on Saturday, 22nd April. Hammer's Andreas Jonsson is included in the starting 16. In previous Grands Prix at this venue Andreas has reached the final twice. He appears to have recovered from his recent illness and scored a paid maximum in Poland on Easter Monday for Bydgoszcz. Also on Saturday, Paul Hurry is included in a qualifying round on the 2006 Championship of Great Britain which is being held at Rye House, Hoddesdon.Shaun Tacey, currently Arena number eight, and former Hammers Daniel King, Alan Mogridge and Phil Morris are included in the event. |
