Dearest Alison, Life can be so very cruel, but, "to the very best",is the irony. Smiling is the real courage, and this you always have had.Love helps too, and you have so much of that, in you partner and family and all of your listeners. We both wish you as very ordinary people much courage to fight this . Much laughter to keep up your spirits ,but most of all love from us all for ever and a day. God Bless. Shalom.

Susan Aldridge
Miss your voice on the Radio, keep fighting, God bless you.

Deborah
My father in law has cancer of the colon and still has problems after the operation. The operation site still leaks. He has a clostomy bag and seems to cope with that quite well. He has had chemotherapy with no major side effects. Reading your diary gives hope to everyone with cancer I'm sure. God bless you and your family Alison.

Bob
Alison I've only ever heard you on the radio but you sound such a lovely person. Good luck with your treatment.

Have known you since we were both (sweet?!) 16 starting our first job at Essex Radio on the same day (fresh from school!)- you've not changed a bit over all these years - you're still as beautiful and sweet-natured as you always were and you deserve all the happiness and love you get. Hugs to you as ever darling, Theresa & co xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I have just read your diary today, I like you had a plastic mask made back in 1990, had radiotherapy and chemo etc, still here and looking forward to a long life. You will do the same, good luck with the treatment. Look after Graham, as everyone will be asking about you, he will be bearing as much pain as you, but quietly. Good Luck

Simon Trevallion
Alison hello, I wondered where you had gone for this time and only just found out on the website. I'm very sorry to hear what you've had to go through and wish you every good wish for the future. I did work experience at BBC Essex way back in 1993 and spent some time working in the library then, it is with much sadness that these things happen at all, let alone to such a fab person ! best wishes, Simon.

Jim Bowman
Dear Alison, You were one of the first people I worked with when I joined the BEEB and you were not only one of the most welcoming, but you threw yourself wholeheartedly into making those wonderfully silly trails promoting Drivetime, and you were massively supportive to a rookie finding his feet! If anyone has the right spirit to beat this thing it's you, and that's immediately clear from reading your articles here. My mum has just been through an op for breast cancer and is just starting radiotherapy - all highly successful so far. It's a winnable fight, well worth fighting. All my love, Jimbo.

Grainne James
Alison, cancer has that way of focusing us on "living in the moment." On behalf of all of us here at the Helen Rollason Cancer Care Centre Appeal I would like to offer our support to you and Graham. We're here if you need us at anytime - living in the moment! Gx

Barbara & Tony
Our thoughts & prayers are with you, Graham and the family. You are so inspirational and am sure you are helping a lot of people. God bless you.
