MALDON PROM

Promenade Park was first opened on 26th June 1895 by Mayor and local historian Mr Edward Fitch. The Marine Lake, formerly part of the River Blackwater, was opened by Lady Rayleigh 10 years later.

HYTHE QUAY

Traditional Thames Barges can be seen at the Hythe Quay. Once an essential means of carrying goods to London from the East coast they are now mainly leisure craft.
