The
South boasts some of the most impressive man made wonders in Britain. From
the splendour of Oxford University's colleges to the impressive World Heritage
site of Stonehenge, there's a big range of wonders in the region. One of
the many wonders on our list is the New Forest which dates back nearly 1,000 years
to 1079 when William the Conqueror established the area as a royal hunting ground
- his 'Nova Foresta'. But there's also a few surprises in the South's list
of top man made wonders, including military architecture and one of the country's
most stunning cathedrals. Watch Seven Man Made Wonders of the South to find
out more. The programme is presented by Chris Packham. |
