About Seven Man Made Wonders | |
 |
| St George's Hall in Liverpool is a fine example of
neo-classical architecture | Earlier in 2006
the BBC asked you to nominate your favourite man made wonders in England.
Hundreds of nominations came in via BBC local radio stations and our websites. They
ranged from cathedrals and canals to railways and Roman amphitheatres. The
most popular man made wonders can now be seen in a BBC TV series called Seven
Man Made Wonders starting on Thursday 27 July 2006. The series will run
weekly for ten weeks on Thursday nights at 19.00 on BBC 2. The TV programme
will feature a selection of your favourite man made wonders across the whole of
England. There's also one or two surprises... unusual places with remarkable
stories.
